Trips with Friends Terms & Conditions

By accessing or using Trips with Friends (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

About the Service and the Owner

Trips with Friends is operated by a sole trader based in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Account Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, keep your account secure, and notify us of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
• Attempt to access or interfere with the Service, systems, or data of other users.
• Upload malware, abusive content, or content that violates others’ rights.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service except as permitted by law.

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit, including receipts, photos, and notes. By uploading content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, and share that content solely to provide and improve the Service.

You confirm you have all rights needed to submit your content and that it does not infringe the rights of others.

Trip Data and Sharing

Trips are collaborative spaces. Content you add to a trip may be visible to other trip members. You are responsible for what you choose to share.

Financial Information Disclaimer

The Service provides expense tracking and calculations for convenience only. We are not a payment processor, financial institution, or fiduciary. You are responsible for verifying amounts, resolving disputes, and complying with any tax or reporting obligations.

Third-Party Services

We may rely on third-party services (for example, analytics, crash reporting, or storage). Their terms and policies may apply to your use of those services.

Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time. We will try to provide advance notice where reasonable.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service and other users.

Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the Service, including software, branding, and content we create, are owned by us or our licensors. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service.

Disclaimer of Warranties
